G+_Jason Eckelstafer
Hi Everyone, I need some recommendations and anything I need to look out for when buying a vinyl printer/cutter. Right now I'm looking at a Cameo by Silhouette or Cricut’s Maker. I'm going to mostly using this to print vinyl decals to adhere onto work working projects. Most of my projects are larger than 12" though so I was hoping to use a vinyl roll but it doesn't look like the cutters near this price point can handle that like the plotters. Anyway, please respond with your suggestions or anything else I should watch out for. Thanks!
G+_Michael Hagberg
Cricut has a model that can do 12x24 inches. One thing I noticed is that the vinyl is much thinner than I thought it would be. Best to buy a single roll and play with scissors before investing in the machine.
G+_Black Merc
Michael Hagberg? I think he is looking for cutters that can make car-wrap vinyl or at least engine hood size. Their is allways the diy route... Plywood cnc into vinyl cutter.
G+_James Hughes
Love my wife's cameo. With the right kind of vinyl roll you can cut 12" by quite long. Software is easy to use.
