G+_Jonathan Schober
I just discovered buying maker parts from ebay. Is it really as good as it seems? WS2811b strips are super cheap. Anything I should know?
G+_610GARAGE
I buy parts off of ebay a lot. Keep in mind. most items come direct from china and take a while to get to the US. I never got a bad part, but that is always a possibility.
G+_Jonathan Schober
Cool! I'm looking at DC-DC Step down converters. I want to handle 12V to 5V@8A. Any suggestions anyone?
G+_Billy Vaughn
Hey Jonathan Schober , you should check out the communities Embedded Electronics Projects and RaspberryPi. There are a lot of makers in those two that might could help.
G+_Jonathan Schober
Wayne Hobbins Thanks for the link. I also am a prime member, but I'm in no rush. I just kinda discovered the awesomeness of the variarity of ebay so I decided to get a bunch of basics (and specifics for a project). That particular voltage regulator is only rated for 2A 3A MAX. Per my requirement of 8A, I decided to get this http://www.ebay.com/itm/221813706541?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
