Hi - I am new to this; have been following the awesome series on the steampunk clock on Know How and Coding 101.

 

Just wanted to recommend a project for a list of all-time DIY greats: a video-tracking laser-zapping mosquito-killing Weapon of Mosquito Destruction (WMD)! By careful attention to surplus equipment they were able to keep construction costs down in the tens of thousands of dollars. That is not only true dedication but also perhaps the best use of technology ever! Only thing missing is a shark for the lasers...
