G+_Franklin Joseph Ambo
Something has bothered me for awhile now, so I turn to the G+ community to help me with this query. Over the last few months, I have seen articles in blog posts, news sites, and even the TV about emails. To be more precise "how email is broken" But within all of these reports they never explain why email is broken. They tell you about new and up-and-coming apps for your mobile, email clients for your desktop/laptop. But they never explained the reasoning behind why they think email is broken. Personally I don't see this, I have three separate email address's, and the reason behind that is. One for friends and family, the other is for testing out new sites and apps, and the last one is for work purposes. So if you know the reason why email is broken, or you personally think this statement is true, can you tell me your thoughts behind it. I truly want to know. G+_Pradyumn Vij
TV is the last place to look for technological insights. Many of the other links may be click bait. I too have 3 emails (University, main and a really old one). Email is difficult for people to understand or use properly as some try to use it like a printed letter which doesn't make sense. Others use it like an instant messenger which also doesn't quite fit. For communication I just see it as the equivalent of a physical mailing address, the definitive way of contacting me. G+_L I
Email isn't broken, it's the only open protocol messaging platform there is. You don't have to make sure you and the recipient have the same app, are on compatible phone networks, or anything like that. They say it's broken because of spam or unencrypted headers but there are ways to mitigate that. Sure, when you can get all parties on the same apps/networks you can use cooler tools to communicate, but email will never die. It's too universal. G+_Bradley Brown
I agree. Email isn't broken. It works exactly how everyone individually uses it. It just makes for a catchy headline, whereas so many people use it everyday.
G+_Mic Cullen
It's basically clickbaiting.
