G+_Shooter_FPV (Shooter_FP
Another project finished... My first racing quad build was a "Robocat 270", back in April 2016. I liked it at the time, but the front canopy cracked a few times, and wiring prevented me from putting the side covers on, so I didn't use it much. This past May I decided to get a ZMR250 and PDB and transplant the parts over to it from the Robocat. Finally got the time to do it, took me a few weeks, between trimming/soldering wires and faulty voltages on the PDB. Just did a 30 second hover in the basement and I still have all my fingers, so it's a success!! ? The Robocat is the yellow one, the ZMR250 is green... G+_Ant Pruitt
That looks badass! Looks like you used a all-in-one ESC. Right? I'm considering using 4piece ESCs for my forth coming build. I figured, if one ESC dies due to crash or power, I can replace it quickly and not have to pull the stack apart.
G+_Shooter_FPV (Shooter_FP
Actually, it's not a 4-in-1 ESC, there are 4 individual DYS XM20A ESC's, they sit between the bottom plate and PDB, where the green frame is. It was a tight fit, only due to the wire length that they were at due to fitting in the old frame. I just ordered green LED's that I will stick to the bottom of each arm. They come in on Monday, so I'll post a pic of it lit, if I remember... lol...

G+_Shooter_FPV (Shooter_FP
First, thanks to Fr. Robert Ballecer, SJ for mentioning me on the show (twice now, humbled and honored...). I just finished adding green LED’s on the bottom, for no particular reason only because I wanted to... I also switched from 2-blade to tri-blade props. Now I just need to learn to fly better... but I REALLY do love building them.
G+_Shooter_FPV (Shooter_FP
Since for some reason I can’t post more than one picture at a time... what the wiring looks like. Not the nearest wiring I’ve done, but it works...
