G+_Shooter_FPV (Shooter_FP
Ok... here's a question for you all... Now that I'm at a point where I have a 3D printer that functions well, I wanted to use a program/service that can make an STL file out of photographs. AutoDESK used to have one, but they discontinued it back in January. You would take a ton of pictures of something, from all angles, then the app/software would piece it all together and create a 3D model. I actually wanted to try it out with my son, just for the fact that he would freak if he had a 3D model of himself. So does any app/program/service still exist that can do this? G+_Shooter_FPV (Shooter_FP
Daniel Stagner Great article, but not exactly what I was looking for. That solution is great for small objects, but I'd like to do it with large objects, like my son... lol... The AutoDESK solution did that, people were doing it with garden gnomes, statues, and humans. I wish they didn't stop the service. It was called AutoDESK 123D Catch.
G+_Daniel Stagner
I do remember the app. I had it on my iphone when i was stationed in Co. Used it to captsure a point cloud of my cover. But the process is the same small or large. I will try to get my car using this software PhotoScan. So far I am not impressed with its ability in getting small things. I have been trying for that last two days to get photos of my kids toys. No luck generating a usable point cloud. Maybe I will have more luck with my car. G+_Daniel Stagner
Ok, I may have found a solution for you. You will still need to take photos. But this site seems to work just as good as there phone bases app. https://recap360.autodesk.com/
