G+_Shooter_FPV (Shooter_FP
My newest project... So I’m taking a break from all things aerial, and doing something that stays on the ground... it’s an R/C F1 car. Everything will be 3D printed, except for the electronics of course. The tires were printed with NinjaFlex... and if you haven’t see/used it before, it’s pretty wild stuff. I still have a bunch more pieces to print, but should hopefully be done in 2-3 weeks. Ultimately it’ll be a Christmas present for my son... he has a friend that has a Traxxas car, so he can race with it with him. It’s a simple but fun build. Should look great when it’s done... G+_David Peach
Ken Jancef, I haven't tried anything but PLA yet, but the very first time I saw a 3D printer in real life I was also introduced to NinjaFlex. Enjoy the process!
G+_Shooter_FPV (Shooter_FP
David Peach The thing that makes NinjaFlex funny is that it seems to defy all rules of filament, if you're used to PLA or ABS. It's like an endless piece of spaghetti. I had to buy way more than I needed, so I might see what other neat things I can print with it...
G+_David Peach
Ken Jancef, I have read that the squishy filaments like that are much easier to work with if your extruder has two toothed gears instead of one. That may be a later upgrade for me.
G+_Shooter_FPV (Shooter_FP
David Peach It seems to work ok on mine. Even though I've upgraded the extruder assembly I never noticed how the gear was. I got some good settings off the 'Net, and it worked great.
