G+_Nick Webster
Google IO wasn't a disappointment, they announced a new IDE and a bunch of new APIs. That's a big deal for us developers and after all I/O is a developer conference.
G+_Roy Hembree
I got to dump Waze and Pandora and Picasa Pro apps. I think it was a great keynote just for that.
G+_Tony Hannides
it wasn't a disappointment. the press and android rumor community hyped up all these hardware rumors. For developers, the tools are a big upgrade. Especially Android Studio. As for consumer releases, Hangouts, Google Music All Access and Maps were very cool. Why do we think I/O is the place for hardware announcements and Oprah moments? We don't expect that out of WWDC. I'm glad they toned it down. They focused on what we need, improved services and tools.
G+_Dave Bach
Let us not forget that Google is willing to just roll out new products without a bunch of hype too. When they had the hurricane in the northeast last year they canceled their event and just put out press releases. A solid replacement for the current Nexus lineup would certainly sell itself without all the Samsung spin and hupla. ?
G+_Michael Conrad
Yeah, this was not a disappointment. Google needed to clean house before pushing out new software releases.
