G+_Brenden Howser
Hello, I bought an Alienware Aurora R3 yesterday for a very good price. It has a liquid cooled quad core I5-2200, 4GB ram, 1TB hard drive and a Nividia GTS 450 graphics card. I am currently using a Dell Inspiron 570 with an Athlon II X4 630, 6GB ram, 1 TB hard drive and a radeon 7770. Is the ALienware a worthy upgrade from the Inspiron 570? Also, should I swap out the Radeon 7770 out of my Inspiron 570 and put it into the Alienware Aurora r3? Thanks
G+_Travis Hershberger
First off, check out the chart at Tom's Hardware: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gaming-graphics-card-review,3107-7.html According to that the 7770 is the slower than the 570, so I'd leave it be. The only thing that I might change about your new system is adding an SSD for the OS and programs, keeping the HDD for everything else. (You can redirect the users folder to use the HDD.) G+_Brenden Howser
Do you mean the Radeon 7770 is lower than the GTS 450?
G+_Brenden Howser
I was planning to have the Alienware replace my Dell 570, and swap graphics cards, putting the GTS 450 into my Dell Inspiron 570, and put the Radeon 7770 into the alienware. G+_Travis Hershberger
I'm getting my numbers confused today, I think I looked up a GTS550 on that chart rather than a 450, sorry!
