G+_Tom Wiswell
I use GMail to check a couple of my POP3 accounts. Gmail checks those accounts as infrequently as one hour. When I'm on my laptop I just manually force GMail to check, but when I'm on my phone or tablet I don't have that option. Is there an Ap or a work around that I might use? G+_Joseph Cappellino
You can use the built in Email app. But, make sure you set it to "leave messages on the server". Else it won't get pulled into Gmail later.
G+_Nana Yaw Ofori
GMail tends to settle on POP3 checking on about twice the frequency that it finds mail in the account in question, with the minimum frequency of one hour. A Couple years ago, I wound up using a Google Apps script to generate and send email to the other accounts on schedule so that my primary Gmail account would pump up its checking to twice an hour. It wound up being written up in a Lifehacker article. In retrospect, that was kind of crazy. If you can set up your other accounts to auto-Forward your email to your GMail account, I'd really recommend doing that. If you want to try the crazy method... http://lifehacker.com/5580553/increase-the-frequency-gmail-checks-your-other-email-accounts-for-new-mail
