G+_Frederick Mbuya
Dumb question! How do i power the receiver!
G+_Fr. Robert Ballecer, SJ
The receiver is powered by the BEC located on the ESCs. Just plug in the ESCs into the MOTOR pins on the flight controller. (As you look at the FC with the buttons to the bottom, the motor side is to the right, the receiver side is to the left. Make sure to use the instructions in the video -- ground/black cable to the outside, signal cable to the inside. When you plug in the leads to the receiver (again... on the left side) the flight controller will provide power to the receiver, which it gets from the BEC on the ESC. G+_Frederick Mbuya
Thanks, that's what I thought in my image you can see I have connected one ESC to the flight controller. The receiver is connected to the flight controller, first row, (aileron) all three wires the rest just the 's' (signal) wire.
G+_Michael Heinz
Well, hang on - What kind of ESCs are you using? If you accidentally bought "opto" ESCs they won't provide power back to the controller. Beyond that, Padre's right - double check the direction of your connections, just in case. Another test - to make sure your controller isn't dead - would be to plug one ESC into channel 1 of your receiver, then see if the receiver lights up when you apply power. G+_Michael Heinz
Shrug - I wasn't commenting on what's the best solution, simply wondering if the reason he wasn't getting power was because he was using an opto ESC.
