Hey guys, I am new to the community and google plus aka I have no idea what I am doing.

 

Anywhoo, I am looking to purchase a quad for myself. I am a complete newb. I flew helicopters a couple years ago and crashed...a lot. I was terrible.

 

So now, I would like to purchase a quad that is great for beginners. Easy to fly and make sure that it has the Forward, back, left & right functions so that I can eventually build a real quad.

 

Recommendations please? Keep it cheap...like $35-$60 range

Syma  (5Xc?)

Light weight, crash it all you want, takes a hella-beating.

Tons of fun.  Works good in and out doors.

 

I'd opt for the extra 4 battery pack and quad charger (about an extra $20 or so)

Consider the UDI 818a.  Takes video as well!  Its easy and rugged and if you just break 1 arm you can buy replacements...

Thanks for the suggestions. The UDI sounds interesting because...video. How durable is it? Im thinking between the Syma (because I can crash a lot and the UDI for the video)

Syma has a cam version just not broadcast back, just record/snapshot controlled from xmitter.

Gos R The UDI is pretty durable. Plus I got my on Amazon Prime so I could just send it back if I broke it in 30 days...  Certainly nothing against the other models! I also like the looks of the UDI.  I took off the guards and put on a upside down old yogurt cup so it looks pretty cool!
