Hello all. I thought I would post a question.... I am using wire cast on a HP touch smart.

 

Wire cast is not only a software based video switcher, but it is a encoder and video streamer as well.

 

But my touch smart is too underpowered to switch video AND encode on the same machine.

 

So what I would like to do is send the video OUT to a separate hardware encoder to stream the video and audio. (Looking at the livestream PRO) audio can be sent via line out.

 

I cannot figure out how to send the video I see on the display out to another device. There are no ports on the hp. Any suggestions how I may do this?

Wirecast has a feature called multicast.  If you can load a SDP file on your encoder you can stream the wirecast video over your LAN.  Your HP should at least have an Ethernet port.
