Hey all. I'm trying to install Linux mint on an old Dell laptop. When I have it running off of the flash drive it all works and I can get on my home WiFi. However when I install it to the computer it won't connect or even see the drivers any more. I tried using the terminal to reinstall the driver but I still can get a connection. Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong? Thanks all and I love the. Show

try in a terminal:

ifconfig

(find the wirless adapter ie: wlan0)

 

iw dev scan

ie:

iw dev wlan0 scan

 should list any APs it finds

 

iw dev wlan0 scan | grep SSID

to just see the names
