G+_Steve Prior
Fr. Robert Ballecer, SJ With the KH250 build I'm noticing that any time I have a crash my prop spinner and washer flies off, even when using Locttite Blue on the threads. The build doesn't provide CW/CCW specific shafts - should we be using shafts that will tighten, not loosen in the event of a crash and be less likely to spin off? G+_Eddie Foy
stop crashing? (I know I take all the fun out of things) CW/CCW thread should help if the spinners that go AWOL are the 'loosening' ones. You could go all aerospace and drill a tiny hole through spinner and shaft and use a wire safety. Loctite green? (a little heat will get it help break it free)
G+_Steve Prior
If there is no risk of crashing you've probably taken all the fun out of flying. Last night I was trying to get HEADFREE mode to work and I didn't crash as much as tip over on landing, didn't even break the prop, but it flew off and the washer was lost in the grass. Will keep looking with my new metal detector.
G+_John Bullough
I switched mine out for nylon locking nuts from Lowes, they have never come off. While they don't look quite as nice, they work much better.
G+_Eddie Foy
Keep in mind nylocks have about a 5 use lifespan.
