Today I learned the hard way how easy it is when flying FPV over wooded areas how hard it can be to get your bearings.  I was trying out a new FPV addition to my quad and planned to fly over the trees to get to back to my house, then when I turned the drone to face away from me I lost track of which way the drone was facing and managed to gain a fair amount of altitude in the process.  Then with battery getting critical I kept turning the drone around to try to figure out which way to get back home, but never managed it and finally brought it down in the woods.  The only reason I got the drone (and this video) back is a group of hunters in the woods saw the crash and had it waiting for me when I came looking.
