G+_Robert Blois
I'm not Father Ballecer, but I would recommend anything by Jeffrey Hicks, and the Scripting Guys blog at Microsoft have been extremely helpful to me.

G+_Vincent Tompkins
Fr. Robert Ballecer, SJ How soon? I remember in my school days we were given a text file with a list of names that needed to be imported into AD. The steps were to put the data into Excel sheet to then create usernames etc. We used some command line utility to then import them. I'm imagining that with PS it could be done with one script. I also remember the school having a yes/no requirement for IT guys to learn programing. I was always for it. I first learned programming in '76 from a book called Basic BASIC. It had a black and yellow cover.
G+_Rud Dog
My first programming was on a TRS-80 using BASIC.
G+_Vincent Tompkins
My first programming was on a timesharing system. One was an IBM system and the other an HP. Each had their own version of BASIC. Access was via acoustic coupler @ 110 baud. Remember those days Fr. Robert Ballecer, SJ ? Later the school went to a DEC system with direct couple modems @ 300 baud! I also did the TRaSh-80 thing.
