G+_Tyler Lennon
Hey Fr. Robert Ballecer, SJ I am looking to update my home network with a Synology Router on your recommendation (great networking 101 series BTW). My current network has a wired WiFi extender and I am wondering if I should also replace it with another Synology Router? Current ISP (TELUS) hardware: Actiontec: T1200H Modem/Router Actiontec: WEB6000Q (WiFi extender) Thanks:)
G+_Jason Marsh
With newer hardware, you may not even need an extender/second AP. I'd recommend you put the modem/router into modem-only mode (name varies by manufacturer) and try your luck with only one Synology router. If it doesn't pan out you could use a second Synology as an extender.
