Just finished the 'switch' podcast and it got me to wondering if there is any advantage to using link aggregation between my dd-wrt based Linksys E3000 router (also providing wifi access) and my HP ProCurve 1800-24G managed switch.

Only if you're exceeding 2GB (1GB in each direction) on that link. The ProCurve has monitoring so you can easily see if that link is saturated. If it is, bond... If not, no need.

The switch has no CLI. The web-based management GUI only shows port TX/RX packet counts. Could you recommend a free snmp-based management app that I could use to check for link saturation?
