G+_Adam van Kuik
Are there any good security cameras that can record in complete darkness? I'm trying to catch one of my cats using parts of my basement as a litter box instead of the litter box.
G+_Joe Phelps
You should just assume the cat is doing evil. No need to spend money.
G+_Elizabeth Whitmire
Just use a black light to detect urine in the basement. Get a battery powered one. Or pop a black light bulb into whatever lighting there is in the basement.
G+_Adam van Kuik
I have an idea who it is; however, I do have 4 cats an only the 1 cat I suspect.
G+_Randy Hudson
Strap a GoPro to the 1 cat you suspect.
G+_Adam van Kuik
If she would let me, I'd GoPro the situation. I'm looking for something that will record while I'm at work during the day.
G+_Ezar Vasquez
fluorescent collars. use different colors on each cat.
G+_John Little
Just get a camera with infrared illuminators built in. Even the cheap ones are good for 30 feet.
G+_David Pick
No idea how much they are. But have you considered a night vision baby monitor? Its an idea if you really want to record the guilty feline in the group.
G+_Adam van Kuik
Are most brands pretty decent?
G+_David Pick
Adam van Kuik I really don't have personal experience with them. I only learned about them last month on twitter following Olivia Wilde. If purchasing on Amazon, I would read customer reviews of whatever monitor meets your price range. They usually help me decide if the product is good or bad. G+_Rick Moore
Do you really think the cat cares if the light is on?
G+_David Pick
Rick Moore good point. They usually just don't like an audience watching them do their business.
G+_Rick Moore
David Pick yeah, I guess we leave the lights off in our "cat" room. Once you figure out which one it is, I'm not sure how you could train it.
G+_Brett Daee
We use DropCam. Night vision is quite good for baby and patio. Perhaps cat, too.
