LED wholesale question (apologies if this has been asked before. How do you search within this group?).

 

I am not a big fan of paying huge prices for LEDs and who is? I looked on Amazon and saw quite a few places trying to charge way too much for LEDs. Even eBay seems a bit high considering they're SO cheap to make. Banggood is a company Padre often brings up but I'd prefer to buy them domestically since dealing with returns or any customer service in China is such a pain.

 

Where can I buy, for instance, 1k red, 1k blue, 1k green, and 1k RGB LED's without breaking the bank? Am I just out of luck? Thanks so much!

Digi-Key, Mouser, Newark & Arrow are my go to companies when wanting to buy thousands of components from a manufacturers authorized US distributor. They even show 1000 piece pricing on their pages and being authorized means you can get help from their internal engineers and the manufacturers engineers if needed.

Paul Hutchinson Dan Anderson I can vouch for Digi-Key and Mouser, I've had friend order components in bulk from them with no issues. I've purchased small quantities from both and no issues there either.

I missed the how to search group question.

 

Because the group is limited to members only, you must use the special "Search Community" box in the left column.

 

The generic "Search Google+" box won't give results from member's only communities.
