G+_Brent Skaggs
Originally shared by David Fraser So I want to develop an Android app, but I don't have all the skills necessary. Maybe someone will think this is a good idea and run with it.... Or an existing podcatcher app can add this on as a feature? I've pretty well stopped listening to the radio and instead listen to a number of great podcasts. I'd like to support the best netcasters, like Leo Laporte, and I've made individual donations but I think it would be very cool to create a podcatcher app that would voluntarily donate a penny per minute to those I listen to. I expect it could easily be done using in-app purchases through the Play Store/Google Wallet, maybe aggregated each week or month. I probably listen to about an hour or two a day, but over a year that would probably add up and help podcasters continue to provide great content. Anyone else think this is a good idea? Anyone have the skills to make this happen?
G+_Aaron Taggert
There is something that does this or something very similar I just can't remember the name.

G+_Mark Fogle
Too bad flattr got blocked by Twitter ... I think I heard about it first on TWiT (or was it TWiG...) - http://gigaom.com/2013/04/16/twitter-forces-flattr-to-stop-letting-users-tip-favorited-tweets/. Seems like a good idea, I just hope they can make it work without Twitter.
