G+_Matt Leo
DaVinci 1.0 Pro just arrived at the office. Can't wait to get it home. No more proprietary filament requirements. WooHoo!!!
G+_James Hughes
Did they change something?
G+_Matt Leo
Pro does away with requiring their filament. I was able to get it at a discount since I've owned the original daVinci 1 from day one.
G+_James Hughes
I have a da Vinci, haven't updated the software for fear my resetter will be rendered useless. Any word on if it's safe to do so?
G+_Matt Leo
No it's not safe. That's why when they sent me the option to upgrade to Pro I jumped on it.
G+_Larry Havenstein
You need to report once you get it going. Looking at the website it looks pretty cool.
G+_Matt Leo
Looks like I can also later add a laser engraver :). So far the two test prints I tried have failed, and I wasn't sitting there watching them to see why exactly they were. But I'm guessing it needs a calibration. It does tell you in the manual though don't calibrate unless you absolutely have to.
G+_Larry Havenstein
Website says it requires calibration but it is easy to do.
G+_Matt Leo
Wayne Hobbins First print just dropped off the end never stuck to the hot plate. Second print stuck to the extruder never getting to the hot plate. Also missing is the extruder cleaning bin.
G+_Matt Leo
Wayne Hobbins These were the test prints from the printer menu. I don't know how you'd modify those that's why I think it's a calibration issue.
