I followed your instructions which worked fine until I copied Codec and pasted to new browser which in turn launched windows media player so I was unable to save video... any suggestions? G+_Ben Reese Posted November 19, 2014 Share Posted November 19, 2014 Not to bash on IE, but that's probably part of the problem - and Windows Media Player might be able to save the video as well... Chrome has the video player built in which allows you to download (save) the video that your watching. IE probably has a default program selection for certain file types. On mobile Chrome, YouTube videos can sometimes be downloaded when they're embedded inside a website - hit play, then after it starts you can long-press the video then save.
