G+_Vance McAlister
Jason Howell [edit, it was Ron Richards ] made this his Arena pick a while back and it was good at the time, but it is even better now, definitely my SMS client of choice. The latest update adds a new theme that has the look and feel of the new Google Hangouts that is very nice (may be available only in the pay version, but it is only $1) Definitely check this out! https://market.android.com/details?id=com.klinker.android.messaging

G+_Vance McAlister
Tip for those who use it, in the settings, under Choose Display Layout, choose Hangouts UI.
G+_Victor Nellissen
Thats a great app use it ever since i saw it in the Arena.
G+_Vance McAlister
Nicholas Burress I am able to both send and receive MMS now, after some of the updates. One of the cool things about this app is the rate of updates and the responsiveness of the dev.
G+_Marquis Moore
I got the paid version as well after trying the free version. As much as I love the interface I'm considering going back to stock. My GNexus has a hell of a time running that app for some reason. Super slow to load, and start a new message. It could just be my phone, so take my complaints with a grain of salt. On another Arena recommendation, Kii keyboard has been my daily driver for quite some time now. I like it better than Swiftkey.
G+_Vance McAlister
Marquis Moore I am running it on a GNex as well, and it runs pretty snappy. There have been a few times that it was slow to load, but that has not been the norm. There is a setting to run as a background service in "Advanced" which is meant to ensure fast start-ups, and he says it doesn't affect battery life. I would try that before reverting back. G+_Marquis Moore
Vance McAlister I tried that early on and it seemed to help a bit. Problem is doing that broke functionally with Light flow which I can't do without. I may try again as that was several versions ago, and I just noticed there is another update today. G+_Vance McAlister
Marquis Moore yes, either way, I would keep it installed because he is constantly updating it and adding features and fixing issues.
G+_Nick Webster
On my GNexus I'm having a strange issue where the quick reply dialogue box shows the last message send/received, not the latest one that I just got. Anyone else have this problem?
G+_Vance McAlister
Nick, feel free to email the developer, he is very responsive. I only use the popup, so have not seen that issue. ?
