G+_Steven Balk
HI Know How team, I enjoyed your episode on RasPi webcam, do you think you could substitute the webcam for a VGA to USB to stream the screen of a computer.
G+_Fr. Robert Ballecer, SJ
Hmmmmm..... might not be enough power in the Pi to do that... but I can try.
G+_Tom DiGianvittorio Jr.
You may be right PadreSJ. I tried to connect an HDMI to VGA adapter to my pi and that caused the pi to restart and I hadn't plugged in the VGA cable yet
G+_John Mink
I suspect Fr. Robert Ballecer, SJ is right. The Raspberry Pi strongly recommends supplying 5W (5V * 1 A) twice what USB 2.0 ports generally do. USB 3.0 though can do 0.9A I have no idea if that's close enough, or if certain conditions will still get finnicky.
