G+_Tony Rueb
in KH75 it is mentioned about installing the USB key inside the case to avoid having a USB key hanging out the outside of the case and becoming disconnected or knocked off. I could not help but think that a good solution without installing extra parts is to get a small flash drive like the SanDisk Cruzer Fit. http://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-Cruzer-Flash-Drive-SDCZ33-032G-B35/dp/B00812F7O8/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1391961393&sr=8-3&keywords=usb+flash+drive It is small enough where worrying about it being bumped and in the way goes away. I use these for the built in MP3 player in my car. #TwitKH http://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-Cruzer-Flash-Drive-SDCZ33-032G-B35/dp/B00812F7O8/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1391961393&sr=8-3&keywords=usb+flash+drive
G+_Fr. Robert Ballecer, SJ
Totally legit! I prefer to keep it in the case so that nobody is tempted to yank the drive while the array is in operation, but a little hot glue or a big sign that says, "If you remove this drive, I will hunt you down and see what I can yank from YOUR ports" would work just fine. G+_Cole Brodine
I pulled Cat5e through the whole house when we moved in, so all my "server" stuff (switches, FreeNAS box, Cable Modem, etc) are in my utility room. Hopefully nobody is in there enough to even see the USB key to bump or pull it out.
G+_Steve Manke
I had a 16GB one of these. This particular drive has a tendency to fail when being reformatting. If that happens, it becomes unusable. I had the issue a few days after buying it and it needed to be replaced by SanDisk. Very disappointing because I had hoped to keep it plugged into my MacBook at all times. From what I read at the time, the issue I had wasn't uncommon. It's a great form factor. Just avoid reformatting/initializing if possible.
