Fun episode on Dogecoin mining - great notes and links Padre - made it much more accessible - My son and I learned about mining this weekend and went on to set up our GPU mining - a quantum leap in Doge - so much Doge - so fun.

Unfortunately I hit a wall trying to follow the Doge How To using my MacBook (i.e. using Mac OS rather than Windows). Not able to find any friendly tutorials elsewhere either. Looks like I've hit my tech upper limit :(((

this download zip package in particular: http://bitcoin.phraust.com/CPUMINER-2.2.2-OSX.zip

it has the MINERD.sh file that you need and a helpful readme

 

use the latest "minerd" from here: http://sourceforge.net/projects/cpuminer/files/

choose this for OSX: pooler-cpuminer-2.3.2-osx64.zip
