I've been trying to plan a whole new network setup and I've heard mixed opinions about using a high end router as the gateway to the internet like the Cisco 1900 or 2900 series vs. using the firmware currently on topic in the show. I know it's a higher electric bill yet the scalability at a much lower cost is the higher price worth a Cisco router vs home build when tech support is gone in a year or two and a high end home build would give me the knowledge for my own Tech support? Fr. Robert Ballecer, SJ I've heard you talking about your own code should I let the geek in me build exactly what I want or should I keep my builds inside the network and let Cisco deal with the internet?
