Fr. Robert Ballecer, SJ I just finished ep 104 and I have to chime in that most if not all of the DSL providers I've encountered for work have no way of reconfiguring their modems remotely so the company provided firewall/VPN device can work. Usually they require someone on site to log into the modem to make the changes. Kinda frustrating since these modems are being installed at branch offices that have staff that aren't that computer savvy, the modem is usually mounted far away from the office where the PCs are and all the local IPs are statically assigned (yes, no DHCP right now). The normal user accounts don't always have enough rights to change network settings and it's a PITA walking the remote staff through the process of logging in as another user and changing IP info over the phone. Usually because the office is offline and I can't remote in and do it myself.
