G+_Kenneth Stone (Kenny)
Question about wire tapping. I have a DSL modem with a built-in Wi-Fi router, so I'm not able to put a physical wiretap in between my computer and the internet. Is there any way to do some sort of "Wi-Fi" wiretapping? G+_Paul Beaudet
A new wifi router will probably be better than those cruddy built-in ones anyhow
G+_Fr. Robert Ballecer, SJ
There are a few ways to do this. Here are my favorite. 1. You could get a separate WiFi AP, run it over a wired port and tap that wire. 2. Get a wireless device that will run in "Promiscuous Mode" to give you all the packets running over the air. 3. Run a arp-spoofing MITM attack. Watch "This Week in Enterprise Tech" at Noon today (10/14) to get a primer on MITM attacks. :)
G+_Brian Knudsen
If you wanna wiretap your network.. Could you use an old router with a switch ?? or do you need special hardware ??
