G+_Rick D
Can someone please 'splain to me why I'd want the new Google Player when I already own/like a Chromecast? Note: I'm not a gamer.
G+_Joe Phelps
I wish my Chromecast had a remote like the Player.
G+_Travis Crawford
It is possible that you aren't the intended audience for the Player. If it's not something you are interested in, and you have a Chromecast that you like, I don't see what the problem is
G+_Jo Welde
Travis Crawford Nope, no problem; just looking for information on what it does that the CC doesn't do.
G+_Travis Crawford
Gotcha :-) I hope I didn't come across snarky, that was not my intention
G+_David Pick
Have to give Christiana Warren credit for pointing out the Amazon Fire TV box can run XBMC(KODI) and Plex without heavy modding on this weeks episode of TWIT. I honestly thought the Fire TV was a dud until she pointed out those unadvertised features it can do. I don't know if I'll buy it yet, but its definitely a maybe now. As for the Google Player, if it can do the same things the Fire TV can do, then its definitely in the maybe category as well. Have to wait for the developer community to support and show what it can do.
