It's weird that I'm happy to log into sites that offer 'log in with Google" but back away quickly if they offer a "login with Facebook (or Twitter)" option. Why do I trust/like Google more?

Jamie Munro I hope you're wrong, because I much prefer G+ as a community.  

 

I don't think that will mean the Google login option will go away on other sites, though...the two don't seem related.

I don't think either of them are particularly trustworthy but I'd probably trust Google a skosh more than Facebook primarily because FB has a far worse security/privacy record. OTOH, Google pretty-much lives on your data.
