G+_Jon Shipman
My Wife can not install the OTA update on her stock Nexus 4. She's gotten the update notification 3 times already and can make it pop up just by searching for new updates. However, when trying to install the update she eventually gets the exclamation with Andy fallen over. Question: is there a general way anyone knows of to install the update without wiping her apps or messing around with root? The only times I've heard of this is when you're using a modified system partition, and I can without a doubt confirm that hers is stock.
G+_Lucas Nichols
I wonder if u need to sign out of her Google account and then sign back in. I suggest this because I was unable to update my apps until I did this yesterday. I kept getting the package file is invalid error. I don't know that this would work, but it might. G+_Jon Shipman
Don't know... As the update is in the boot loader when it fails
G+_Jon Shipman
Ended up giving up around 1am last night and used Helium and the stock image from Google and fastbooted everything. Looked like a system file (mpdecision) that made the md5 mismatch. In the end got 4.3 installed and her battery life is much improved after only one day.
