G+_Charles Griffin
Leo was talking about lawsuits over Dish's Hopper system, which he described as a 30 second jump. I'm confused as to why that is a big deal, since DIRECTV has had commercial skipping functions for years. Surely, there is more to the Hopper system. G+_Ricky Cash
The Hopper has the ability to auto cut commercials by the next day. This is what the lawsuits are about.
G+_Cole Brodine
It is the same old functionality that ReplayTV got sued out of existence for. It has been a core part of the Linux PVR, MythTV, since early 2000s. (Maybe sooner) No new technology, but just as fears as it was a decade ago.
