G+_Eddie Foy
Been on the solder-less bread boards last few days. I typically use 1K, 4.7K 10K, 22K, and 100K resistors for most prototyping. To avoid having to check the color bands, I decided to just use heat shrink to color code them. Reds, blues, green, etc. A lot easier and quicker to use. G+_Eddie Foy
yes, of course. Just the bodies.
G+_Tim VanSant Writes
Doesn't that cause the resistors to retain heat? Although I guess if you're just doing it on prototypes that are soon disassembled it might not matter.
G+_Eddie Foy
1/8/ or 1/4 watt? A case holding final product would hold in as much. If using carbon film, sure could be a issue; use metal film or wire wound not nearly a tolerance problem. Jumping from 5% to 1% would solve that too.
