Jonathan Scruggs I agree with you on the added pressure. However, you must be pretty picky when it comes to tablets, though (not that that's a bad thing, mind you).

I personally think that the current iPad Air and Mini, and the current Nexus 7 are very strong devices. I think we will see equal or better hardware on the Windows side in the next year, making for one heck of a battle. Hopefully that level of competition will get you the tablet you are looking for,

James Rogers the competition is definitely what I'm looking for. A lot of tablets seem to be the same. I'm hoping new boundaries will pushed. These are exciting times and I can't wait to see what's next. Yeah. I may be a bit picky but I know exactly what I'm looking for but haven't seen it yet. I might need to design my own... ;)

I agree. The tablet market is definitely heating up now. Lots of increasingly powerful options for less and less money. You can get a perfectly capable device for between $200-$300 now. Two years ago, that wouldn't have paid for anything worth having. That should only get better with more competition.

I guess I should have said I think 8" is the perfect size for me when it's a mobile device larger than my cell phone Dennis D. McDonald, as it wasn't implied clearly by the words I think and the topic being tablets.

I too appreciate consistency across sizes but value adaptability which is why I like the Android operating system. Same apps, screen size optimized so I don't have to repurchase and data shared between versions in many cases on good quality hardware. ? Using chrome as my browser syncs to my phone and tablet to my desktop.?
