G+_Ekechukwu Mbaachu
@padresj i've just finished watching episode #79 which featured a segment on data recovery from a dead hard disk. My problem is that I am certain that I don't have a drive electronics or electro-mechanical problem rather I have a <2% darik's boot n' nuke wipe problem, I wonder if you or another member of the community has a workaround to this problem? G+_Brent Burnette
Not sure of program names at the moment but I know there are some that can recover data that was only written over once as a delete. Of course if you used dban on the 7pass setup, that data is gone.
G+_Donald Burr
The problem is I think even in its "least destructive" setting DBAN writes zeros to the drive, so the data is toast anyway (Unless you want to pull out the electron microscope and go all CSI crime lab on it)
