G+_Tom Gehrke
Samsung would be crazy to do this, IMO. Of course, I don't run a multi-billion dollar consumer electronics company, so what do I know? http://www.designntrend.com/articles/9416/20131130/samsung-galaxy-s5-android-4-kitkat-tizen-firefox-os-rumors-video-release-date-specs-features.htm

G+_Joseph Cappellino
Or have multiple variants that run the different OSs.
G+_Tom Gehrke
I read a scathing review of Firefox OS over the weekend. Have there been any Tizen sightings out there?
G+_Joseph Cappellino
Tom Gehrke not sure.
G+_Shawn Co
If I ever jump to another os, it'll be Microsoft. I've spent my share in android/Google. Definitely will not jump to something else, look at BlackBerry...
G+_Tom Gehrke
Shawn Co Windows Phone is definitely the most intriguing alternative out there right now.
G+_Shooter McLovin
Most reviews I have read have said Firefox os is actually really good, its just on shitty hardware.
G+_Tom Gehrke
Shaun Nigel Hall Ah. Maybe that was the issue. I'll have to dig that review up and give it another read. Seems like the reviewer had other problems, but many of those might be subjective.
G+_Shooter McLovin
Tom Gehrke the os most likely will have some issues coming out of the gate as well. Think android pre froyo
G+_Zulhaimi Abdul Hamid
Android gave Samsung legitimacy. Something they didn't have with Bada (shudder). Its risky for Samsung to move away from Android but from what I see here in Asia, their huge market dominance may help them convert normal consumers who can't tell the difference anyway. Touchwiz on Tizen might not feel any different from Touchwiz on Android.
G+_Tom Gehrke
Zulhaimi Abdul Hamid Good points. Really interested in seeing someone putting Tizen through its paces now.
G+_Shooter McLovin
There is an obvious reason that Samsung wants off android..... Motorola.
G+_Craig Lambert
This would be a huge mistake by Samsung. If they release Tizen, they should begin with a new model. To change the Galaxy line now to a different OS is a horrible idea (if true).
