G+_Chris A.
I need some help with my Pocket Casts app. Left this review on the Pocket Casts app page on Google Play. I really love this app. I use it every single day to download and watch my favorite podcasts. I have it on all of my devices but recently have been exclusively using it on my Nexus 7. Thing is, after getting the new Nexus 7 (2013), the app doesn't work as well as it used it used to. There is an 80-something% chance my downloads fail and I have to hit "retry", or sometimes when the download pushes through without failing and showing the red "!" icon, the video is corrupted and I can't watch the whole thing... I would really love to give this app the 5 stars it deserves... So I would really appreciate some help concerning my issue... Thanks, very much! G+_Kevin Spitzer (JaguarXT
This most likely have to do with the wireless Internet connection between the wireless router and with your Nexus 7 is not that good. Check to make sure you have a good wireless connection to your wireless router. Also that app seems to have problems with downloading when there are lots of users downloading the same file. Wait for a hour and try again. You can also use the TWiT Pro app in the recent arena to download the TWiT files. ?
G+_Chris A.
Thanks for the reply. I've actually had this problem for almost a month now. I don't have issues with my other devices downloading over my wireless router. Even when on my Note II or old Nexus 7 using Pocket Casts. I think I've isolated the issue to my device or maybe the app not behaving properly with it. :(
G+_Kevin Spitzer (JaguarXT
Having a connection for downloading small file apps and surfing doesn't mean that you have good connection for downloading large files, HD videos streaming, etc... Check further to make sure that you have good connection with that device. I also noticed that with this app in the last month or so that new files may have failure of downloading due to so many users downloading at one time. I waited for a hour and successfully complete download with no problems. I think this is due to the popularity of the app and the podcasts. ?Also it maybe that the files are available before they are fully uploaded to their servers. But most likely just too many users are downloading at the same time.
