G+_Ken H
Originally shared by Arunkumar Introducing Conscient - A simple automation app using Google's Awareness API! Conscient is French for Aware. Conscient is an automation app, that lets you do actions based on complex contexts like Running, Walking, In Car, Headphones Plugged and Riding Bicycle etc. More examples: •? When Headphones Plugged and Walking open Music app. •? When In car, show a notification to navigate to work/home. •? When Running and Headphones Plugged open fitness app. The interface is simple, you just pick a context and pick an action like launch app or launch shortcut and voila! You have setup a profile. I call it Fence, so does Google :) What makes Conscient shine? Conscient is designed to be battery efficient. Conscient leverages powerful tools Google introduced this year called Awareness API to detect various user activities. Conscient itself does not run in the background and relies on Google services to do all the heavy lifting. Tasker support? Ofcourse one does think about Tasker before getting into automation territory. You can launch Tasker tasks by picking tasker tasks in the shortcut picker! Ability to query current context is planned. What do I need? Any play store compatible Android phone running 5.0 or above. (Earlier versions planned for future) Consicent has paid functionality, in the free version you are limited to creating 3 fences. You can upgrade to pro with the price you feel comfortable :) and this gets you unlimited fences. I plan to add more contexts in upcoming updates and took care to make this process easier from a development standpoint. Don't forget the important Fence of all: When the app is nice, appreciate it by leaving a play store review :P.
