Episode 239 of All About Android needs you to click something. By clicking, you tell us which app is your favorite this week and that makes us happy.

[edit on Nov. 11, 2015] Hearing from a LOT of people that Shine Launcher 3D is a straight ripoff of TSF Launcher and is also resulting in lots of spammy notification messages. We have removed the download link for Shine and in its place is the link for TSF Launcher. If you liked what you saw on the show, the launcher you should install is TSF. It's the real deal. Sorry for the confusion.[edit]

Hey Steve Douglas Randy Fasnacht Tim Elliott and everyone...whoa, absolutely did not realize this. Ugh. I didn't get the spam notifications for the app. I reinstalled it today fresh and sure enough, got one. Talking to Jason about how to handle.  My apologies for this! In the meantime, after looking at TSF Launcher 3D, I definitely recommend  it! https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tsf.shell&hl=en

Timothy Wright Podkicker does not have that playback speed adjustment functionality natively, but you you can enable it through an extension in the paid version (currently, just increase the playback speed).

Was really nice to heard about the app in the show, I have been using it for years and it just works so perfectly that I can not convince myself to try anything else.

hmmm...if it was just to point of showcasing cool apps, I’d have no qualms … but with the competitive spirit of the Arena, and Ron's palely veiled enthusiasm to win for the year, I don’t think it right to change the app link.  You tote it, you sell it, you showed it off for the votes… maybe you fail to read some of the comments or even have it run on a device for more then a day, otherwise there may have been some mention of the nag pop-ups, I think the lumps for a bad sale should be taken just like the wins.

...feels a little “bait-n-switchy”…

I don't think Ron is nearly as competitive as he used to be--way back when Eileen was still on they started focusing more on showcasing apps than personal wins. I think switching the app link is important for trying to punish the ripoff developer and help the ripped-off developer. (Besides...it's losing anyway, pretty handily...)
