G+_Robert T
This morning I got a notification to install Nougat on my LG G5. I hadn't heard any news about this coming, although that could be because nobody really talks about the G5 any more.
G+_John Mink
Cool, I'm on the G4 & still on Android 6.0 But I think you're right in that both these phones seem to have fallen off the tech radar.
G+_Jeff Larkin
John Mink I honestly wasn't sure they'd update it, since the phone has gotten such a bad rap. I was afraid they'd just put all of their engineers on the G6.
G+_John Mink
I can understand that, I was surprised that my G4 just got an update today
G+_Jeff Larkin
One very strange quirk since installing this. Some text messages get routed to my default messaging application (Google's Messenger) and others to the system "Messaging" app. At one point I had 2 notifications for 2 different text messages, 1 from each application. G+_Daniel McKenzie
Had LG announced they'd work at keeping their software upto date (like this) I might have actually considered them.
