G+_Mike Lawrence
Blaming android for not getting an alarm when you have your phone set to "none"... What about blaming yourself or your lack of reading ability? SMH? Please don't have that guest ever again, or actually call out stupid comments for what they are. She clearly doesn't use Google+ either.
G+_Jason Colby
Or... blame Google for training us all for years that turning notification sounds off mutes everything except alarms, and then changing it. An "alarms only" mode would be just ducky. ?
G+_Mark Stronge
If you want alarms, use priority. It is spelt out in black and white. You don't have to set any exceptions or downtime if you don't want or need that. Tap once on the volume button, tap once on priority, that's it. G+_Jason Colby
This is turning into the "you're holding it wrong" of Lollipop.
G+_R.C. Curtright
"Blaming Android" "stupid" "don't have that guest ever again"?! Fanboy much? It's okay for someone not to like a feature on Android and still be on AAA .?
G+_Mark Stronge
R.C. Curtright they don't have to like a feature, that's fine, but that wasn't that.
G+_R.C. Curtright
I guess I don't know the meaning of feature then. But whatever, when I silence my phone the alarm still works and I am used to that. It's how I use it. When you use something like that habitually for years you actually form new synapses that tell you how to interact with the device intuitively without conscious thought. Saying that people caught off guard by this have a 'lack of reading ability' misses the point. Good UX is predictable and intuitive.

G+_Mark Harry
Lee Ball I hate that on my Nexus 7, I turn down the volume before launching any video, because you never know how loud it will be, not on Lollipop.
