G+_Ken H
Jason Howell, I know on the last episode of AAA it was quoted once again about Verizon having the "best quality network". I just thought I'd re-share my post from 2 weeks ago (to my own Collection, not this community mind you). I think we can say now that it's no longer the case... at least as far as independant network comparisons are concerned. I know that you and plenty others are very happy with T-Mobile so just thought I'd get this news out for those that may have not seen this. Originally shared by Paul Werner Just look at that chart and check out what they say in this article. Even less reasons for practically anyone to stick with an overpriced Verizon plan nowadays. Way to go T-Mobile http://goo.gl/2IebVN
G+_Jason Howell (raygun01)
Thanks for sending, interesting read. I can say, though, that my own experience with T-Mobile is that there are plenty of places that lack good service/reception and my wife's Verizon phone is chugging along without a care in the world. High speed availability is all fine and good, but my experience lately has confirmed at least to me that Verizon still serves more outlying places than at least T-Mobile. But this report seems to say they are closer to even on that front... I just haven't seen it with my own eyes yet.

G+_Paul Werner
Jason Howell I gotcha. I know that OpenSignal gets a ton of their data from users that install the app but as usual it only really matters to any user where they are at in the moment. Thanks for the input though
G+_Jim Jensen
I enjoy T-Mobile but why stop there when you can have 3 and roaming with FI
G+_Paul Werner
Jim Jensen for me the only reason is T-Mobile is cheaper than Fi. If it weren't I would have switched as well. The freebies on Tuesdays and extra plan perks are nice as well
G+_Melvin Byrd
I've been a T-Mobile customer for over 10 years. I wouldn't switch carriers unless you paid me. Recently, just that happened when my employer said that I could no longer expense my phone plan. But since letting them foot the bill meant that i was no longer in control of my phone's privacy, I decided to become one of those dual phone types. My work phone is Verizon, I'm signed into my Google account on both phones manufactured by Moto and I must admit, my work phone receives messages and general notifications on the average of 30 - 45 seconds before my T-Mobile phone does and i don't think it's the hardware. This report sounds suspect to me.
G+_Daniel Charles
The article mentioned that the comparison was done in metro areas, so Verizon may still be better for those of us farther out in the country. But I'll certainly take a look at the OpenSignal coverage map for my area and see for myself.
G+_Jason Howell (raygun01)
Even when I'm in SF, my Tmo connection is flakier than Verizon... Just as one example. Also, there's the strength of the signal that matters. For example, my wife works in the basement floor of an office building in downtown SF. Verizon reaches down there without issue. Tmo is weak the further in you go.
