G+_Courtney Engle Robertso
If/when the show is relaunched, I'd really love to see it not be entirely about being a Youtuber. There's a huge need for an integrated approach as well. It's 1 part of the puzzle for most people and business owners. How would a small business owner that's primarily DIY to approach Youtube? They publish more than 1 time, but are not aiming to be a Youtuber as a revenue stream. For a wider audience, Youtube is just 1 part of the mix. I'd love to see the show relaunch with some coverage of being a Youtuber, a what's viral this week, whatever awesome creative video is found, and a LOT of focus on Youtube as part of the mix. Cover stuff like how to use Hangouts On Air, Youtube live, really understanding keywords and tagging, how to create compelling content varying levels of production quality. Likewise, include how a Youtube video then makes it's way to blog posts, social networks, etc. and what value that's creating. Thing bigger than just what happens on youtube.com. Thanks Lamarr Wilson for the first year and Chad Johnson I hope to see a relaunch. I'd love to see TWiT expand it's target audience from general techies that used to watch TechTV to truly expanding to what small business owners also need. What do people want as a consumer, employee, and business owner? More education and entertainment, less rehashing the news everyone else has - and let go of the reluctance toward "marketing". TWiYT is a part of that, and TSH. Is the audience for this show aspiring Youtubers or a wider audience of those looking to integrate Youtube into the mix? On TSH - is the target audience consumer driven, or people looking into how social media impacts their job/business? Be clear on the intent, be clear with the audience what the focus is, and dive deeply into that.
G+_Michael Ricci
I enjoyed the show at first, but I feel it got a little to specific and wasn't broad enough. I watch a ton of shows on YouTube but this show felt like it was completely aimed at how to get teenage girls to watch your videos. There is an lot of high quality videos on YouTube. I am very interested in the automotive industry so shows like big muscle on drive or dirt everyday and roadkill on motor trend. It seems like they never covered this high quality stuff. If i can find it on auto info then I know there is by tons of it on a lot of other topics.
