G+_Erik Carlos Toren
Looks like video responses are going bye bye on YouTube. What do you think? did you ever use this feature? http://youtubecreator.blogspot.ca/2013/08/so-long-video-responsesnext-up-better.html
G+_Jacob Fulbright
Meh, I don't think I ever clicked a single video response. Ever. It is in the comments section. That was the flaw. Have you read YouTube comments? The few video response videos I had other people forward me were as poorly constructed as anything else in the comments section. G+_Carlos Pacheco
A little over a year ago used it mainly to push fans more of my content and it worked but YouTube change the format (not sure when) and engagement on the videos dropped. I've never approved a fans video response though.
G+_Robert Jones
I used the feature quite a bit, some of my biggest YouTube friends were first discovered through the Video Response system back in 2008-09. It is not a tool for creators trying for viral success or non-discussion videos, but it vital to the smaller niche communities which exist on the site. Of course investors and advertisers don't give two craps about small niche communities, they want eyeballs, and click-thru metrics.
G+_Jacob Fulbright
At the end of the day, they still have a business to run, and 0.0004% just isn't enough to keep I guess.
