G+_Ian Daniels
Use strava for your ride and latitude for your location info. Share your wife and she can see where you are at home.

G+_Scott Rose
Matt DeWitt latitude works on the desktop.. http://latitude.google.com
G+_Cole Brodine
Waze also has a feature to share your location during a trip. I like that it is "temporary". You can share the link, they click it and watch your progress on the desktop. When you reach your destination your phone stops updating the map and the link dies. I also use Latitude with my wife, which is nice for a 24/7 tracking system.
G+_Will Chase
Matt DeWitt Did you try glympse? It gives you a URL to share and can view from anything with a browser.
G+_Matt DeWitt
I haven't had time to try anything yet. I will give it a try tonight.

G+_Paul Werner
You can use Endomondo and she'd be able to send you messages that are read to you thru the app. They call it a "PepTalk". I did that the other week when I cycled for 28.8 miles
G+_Matt DeWitt
I tried glympse and it worked great but I can't figure out how to get latitude working on desktop. I send the info to my wife's email address and when we click it it just goes to google maps and doesn't show location.
G+_Cole Brodine
Have her log into her google account and then go to http://latitude.google.com/ Then there should be a button at the top left that says add friends. I think if she adds you it will work better maybe?
