G+_Tom Gehrke
Sharing with the AAA crew because I think there are probably a few of you in the same boat as I am or at least curious. If it doesn't seems like there's interest, I'll stop. :) Originally shared by Tom Gehrke Newbie Android Developer Update When Google announced their partnership with Udacity on an Android Development "nanodegree" at the last Google IO, some of us were pretty excited. I committed to jumping in and keeping you all up to date as a sort of journal of the experience. I've been a professional developer in the past, but on completely different platforms. Because I wanted to make sure I was ready, I opted to take Udacity's Android Development for Beginners (https://www.udacity.com/course/android-development-for-beginners--ud837) expecting it to be tedious but necessary. After diving in, I shared with you how pleasantly surprised I was at the quality of the Beginners' course. Yes, in spots it was tedious given my previous knowledge, but largely it was interesting, engaging and helpful... ...until I got to the third (and final) lesson where I see that the program is incomplete. So for about the past week my forward momentum has stalled. So very disappointing. While I'm waiting for "early July", I've decided to take the How to use Git and Github course since I'm definitely pro-version control and have had little exposure with Git/Github as a developer. Just in case any of you were wondering how things were going.

G+_Dean Chauvin
I'm new to Android Development. I'm really enjoying it. I can only work in the lessons during my lunch hour during the week, so it's slow going. It is fun, though. I'm excited to get this choose finished so I can take some more. I particularly want to do the one for Google Maps API.
G+_L Martin
I started this very same course a few weeks ago, but i had to put it on hold and get back to my uni studies. Which is unfortunate as i was enjoying this a lot more.
