G+_Keith Nelson
The latest TWIT show with Scoble was just so boring. Yes, it's this way, no, it's that way. Repeat. This is the first time that I have stopped watching the show.
G+_Con Diamantis
i disagree, great back and forth discussion at a boring news time. Also Scobles Facebook lists tips is very very interesting, i've started playing with them and the results are interesting.
G+_MartinJJ NoAgenda
If you have to Scoble manage FB to actually obtain some usefull information from it, that's a sad fact in itself already.
G+_Brian Belanger
Scoble when on and on about Facebook. It was even worse when he kept showing his feed. I left Facebook long ago. His constant talk about Facebook did make me want to return to the social network.
G+_Dave Trautman
Jerome Chan — did you stick around long enough for the exchange regarding the "forgetfulness" issue? I found this part of the conversation (and it is just a conversation) to be quite enlightening. When I hear people who are swimming in the deeper ends of the technology pool start to express concerns about how it is affecting their normal everyday behaviour my ears perk up. This is the kind of thing I have always wanted more of from the TWiT show (as well as from other TWiT programming) so I was happy to sit through a lot of 'cruft' before I dug up a nugget. I've been frustrated in the past when the conversation derails and sometimes runs right into a pole. But other times I've come away thinking more deeply about what Leo Laporte and his guests have said about the effect of technology on their lives, their kids, their relationships, their work, and their view of the world. If for no other reason than I believe these things to be more important than the size, shape, capacity, look and feel, or specifications of any particular technology. I do hope This Week in Tech moves more toward what people are experiencing with tech and less about what shiny new thing is being proposed, rumoured, or shown off. Last week's conversation on TWiG was a really informed and well reasoned exchange between people for whom this 'troll' issue matters a lot. I got a lot from that discussion. A lot more than I got from the subject in the previous TWiT. As I no longer have Facebook I didn't care much about that part, but it does represent an angle on the discussion about how algorithms and managed content is the most important part of the Facebook experience. He was just helping the audience get a better experience. If you have some suggestions about what TWiT might talk about more then perhaps Leo Laporte and Chad Johnson might take those suggestions forward. But turning it off is entirely your decision and I can support that too.
G+_Jerome Chan
I stopped right after the Facebook argument.
G+_Tony Nolen
The Facebook / Twitter debate lasted 40 minutes. No topic should be discussed that long. There should be a producer that watches the clock and points out when something is going too long.
G+_Nayland Blake
It did seem like Leo Laporte had Robert Scoble on just to rib him, but after hearing that all too lengthy dispute, here I am on google+ trying to remake my feed into something more useful. G+_David Pick
I'm listening to this episode on-demand. I tried watching live after participating live with Cord Killers. The subject was just to deep and nerdy for me to watch live. Granted, Robert brought new light to me on what can be done with Facebook.
G+_Uncle Joe (Uncle Joe Hi
I'd really like Scoble to answer this: Why does Facebook's "News Feed" show me stuff a year old? This happened just the other day. For that matter, why show me something more than a couple days old? I shouldn't have to train Facebook on one something as basic as that.
